Cool facts
Bees are superstars. Bees are the most famous pollinators, they visit flowers to drink nectar and accidentally pick up pollen on their fuzzy bodies, then carry it to the next flower.
Wind does the job. Some plants don't need animals at all; instead, the wind blows their pollen from flower to flower, which is why some plants make us sneeze!
Bats help too. Bats are nighttime pollinators that feed on flower nectar and pollen, and as they visit flowers in the dark, they spread pollen between plants.
Makes seeds happen. When pollen reaches the right part of a flower, it lets that flower make seeds, which grow into brand-new plants.
Many helpers exist. Butterflies, beetles, hummingbirds, and even water all help pollinate different flowers around the world.
