Biggest true fox. The red fox is the largest of all the true foxes, easy to spot with its rusty coat and fluffy tail.

Goes everywhere. It's the most widely spread member of the meat-eating animal group, living across North America, Europe, Asia, and parts of North Africa.

Lives near people. Its range has grown right alongside human towns and cities, so you might spot one near where people live.

A tricky newcomer. Foxes were brought to Australia, where they hunt native rodents and marsupials. This made them one of the world's worst invasive species.

Plenty around. Even though they cause problems in some places, red foxes are listed as 'least concern,' meaning there are lots of them in the world.
