Eats almost anything. Pigs are omnivores, meaning they happily munch both plants and meaty bits, just like us.

Tamed twice. People domesticated pigs separately in two places during the Neolithic: the Near East and China.
Wild cousins. Domestic pigs are closely related to wild boar, and the two even bred together when pigs reached Europe.
Walking on toes. Pigs are even-toed, hoofed mammals, putting them in the same big group as deer and cows.
