True flyers. Bats are the only mammals that can really fly and stay in the air, not just glide. They're even more agile in flight than most birds!

Wings are hands. A bat's wings are made of long, spread-out fingers covered by a thin skin called a patagium. Imagine flying with webbed hands!

Teeny tiny. The smallest bat is Kitti's hog-nosed bat, only about 3 centimeters long and weighing just 2 grams, lighter than a coin.

Giant flying foxes. The biggest bats are flying foxes. The giant golden-crowned flying fox can weigh 1.5 kg and have a wingspan of 1.6 meters!
