Half bull, half man. The Minotaur had the head and tail of a bull but the body of a man. Some old stories even called him by the name Asterion.
Lost in the Labyrinth. He lived at the center of the Labyrinth, a giant maze built by the clever inventor Daedalus for King Minos of Crete.
A clever thread. The hero Theseus found his way through the maze using a ball of thread given to him by Princess Ariadne, so he could follow it back out.
The hero's victory. Theseus defeated the Minotaur, finally ending the terrible tradition King Minos had forced on the city of Athens.
