Wildebeest

Also called gnu. Wildebeest are antelopes that live in Eastern and Southern Africa. They belong to the same big family as cattle, goats, and sheep.

Two kinds. There are two species: the black wildebeest (also called the white-tailed gnu) and the blue wildebeest (also called the brindled gnu).

Even-toed and horned. They're hoofed animals with horns, in the family Bovidae, which includes true antelopes and many other grazing relatives.

African natives. Wildebeest roam the grasslands and savannas of Eastern and Southern Africa.
