World's biggest fish. The whale shark is the largest fish alive today. The biggest one reliably measured was about 18.8 meters (almost 62 feet) long!

Tiny snacks. Despite its huge size, it's a filter feeder, gulping water and straining out tiny creatures like plankton.

Slow and gentle. This is a slow-moving, peaceful shark that poses no danger to people swimming nearby.

One of a kind. It's the only living species in its whole family, making it pretty special among sharks.
