Giant colorful bill. Toucans have huge, brightly colored bills that can be almost as long as their bodies. Even though they look heavy, the bills are mostly hollow and very light!

Rainforest birds. Toucans live in the warm tropical forests of the Americas, a region called the Neotropics.

A big family. There are more than 40 different species of toucans, grouped into five genera.

Close cousins. Their nearest relatives are birds called toucan-barbets.
