Seven amazing species. There are seven kinds of sea turtles: the flatback, green, hawksbill, leatherback, loggerhead, Kemp's ridley, and olive ridley.
True ocean reptiles. Sea turtles are reptiles that spend almost their whole lives swimming in the sea, coming ashore mainly to lay eggs.
Many need help. Five of the seven species are listed as threatened with extinction on the IUCN Red List, so they need protecting.
Australia's special turtle. The flatback turtle lives only in the waters around Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia.
