Plant munchers. They are herbivores, which means they eat plants, using their strong jaws to chew leaves and grass.

Mighty jumpers. Their powerful back legs let them leap amazing distances compared to their tiny body size.

Suborder Caelifera. Scientists group all grasshoppers into a category called Caelifera within the insect world.
