Sea Lion

Ears you can see. Sea lions have little external ear flaps, which is one way to tell them apart from true seals that just have ear holes.

Walk on all fours. Their strong front flippers let them prop themselves up and walk on land using all four limbs.

World travelers. They live in cool subarctic and warm tropical waters in both hemispheres, but never in the northern Atlantic Ocean.

Eared seal family. Sea lions and fur seals together make up the family called Otariidae, meaning the 'eared seals.'

A small group. There are six living species of sea lions, plus one that has gone extinct.
