Cool facts
Born from training. Parkour started with military obstacle course training and martial arts, where soldiers and athletes learned to move efficiently through tough environments.
Urban playground. Parkour is usually done in cities where there are walls, railings, stairs, and ledges to leap over, swing from, and climb, but you can practice it anywhere!
Many cool moves. Parkour combines flipping, running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, and whatever creative moves work for the situation you're in.
New way of seeing. Parkour teaches you to look at your surroundings differently, spotting opportunities to run across, under, and around things most people just walk past.
Solo or social. You can practice parkour alone to challenge yourself, or with friends to learn new tricks and have fun together.
