Cool facts
Bouncing with purpose. Trampolinists aren't just having fun, they're performing carefully planned acrobatic moves like somersaults and twists while airborne.
Air time matters. Judges score athletes not just on how cool their moves are, but also on how long they stay in the air, rewarding bigger bounces.
Difficulty and style. Athletes can perform simple straight jumps or complex combinations of flips and spins, and judges look at both how hard the move is and how cleanly it's done.
Staying centered. Bouncing in the exact middle of the trampoline is important, if you drift too far to the side, you lose points!
