Ruled vast lands. At its peak, the Mughal Empire stretched across huge parts of South Asia, from present-day Afghanistan and Kashmir all the way to Bangladesh and southern India. It was one of the biggest empires in the early modern world.

Built incredible monuments. The Mughal emperors were famous for creating stunning architecture that still amazes people today, blending Persian, Islamic, and Indian styles in beautiful palaces, mosques, and gardens.

Controlled millions of people. The empire governed diverse populations across different regions, religions, and cultures, making it one of the most complex and influential kingdoms of its time.

Started with invasion. The Mughal Empire began when Babur, a warrior from Central Asia, invaded India in the early 1500s and established a dynasty that would rule for centuries.

Blended many cultures. The Mughals mixed Persian, Islamic, and Indian traditions to create a unique culture that influenced art, literature, music, and everyday life across South Asia.
