Hades

King below. Hades was the god of the dead and the ruler of the underworld, the shadowy place where Greeks believed people went after they died.

God of riches. Because gold, silver, and gems are found underground, Hades was also seen as the god of riches hidden beneath the earth.

Eldest brother. He was the oldest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, making Zeus and Poseidon his younger brothers.

Splitting the world. After defeating the Titans, the three brothers divided the cosmos: Hades got the underworld, Zeus the sky, and Poseidon the sea.
