Cool facts
A flying stallion. Pegasus is a winged horse from Greek mythology, usually pictured as a beautiful white stallion who could soar through the air.
Sea-god dad. His father was Poseidon, the god of the sea, who was also a horse-god in Greek stories.
Lightning carrier. Greek and Roman poets said Pegasus flew up to heaven and obeyed Zeus, carrying thunder and lightning from Mount Olympus.
A brother too. Pegasus had a brother named Chrysaor, and both were born in a very magical way from the Gorgon Medusa.
