Famous patches. Pandas have a white coat with black patches around their eyes, ears, legs, and shoulders, making them one of the most recognizable animals on Earth.

Only in China. Giant pandas are found naturally only in China, which makes them very special to that country.

Bamboo all day. Even though pandas are bears, their diet is almost entirely bamboo and bamboo shoots, and they can even digest starch.

Bonus thumb. Pandas have a special 'thumb' on their front paw that helps them grip bamboo while munching away.

Big and round. Adult pandas weigh about 100 to 115 kg, and males are usually 10 to 20% bigger than females.
