Super sized. Brazil is the largest country in South America and the fifth-largest in the whole world by area. It's also home to more than 213 million people!

Portuguese speakers. Brazil has more Portuguese speakers than any other country. It's the only country in the Americas where Portuguese is the official language.

Big cities. The capital is Brasília, but the most crowded city is São Paulo, followed by the famous Rio de Janeiro.

Many states. Brazil is a federation made up of 26 states plus a Federal District, which is where the capital sits.
