The Sun rules. The Solar System is held together by the Sun's gravity, which keeps eight planets, including Earth, orbiting around it.
Super old. It formed about 4.6 billion years ago when a thick cloud of gas and dust collapsed and started spinning.
Born from a disc. As the cloud collapsed, it created the Sun and a flat, swirling 'protoplanetary disc' where the planets slowly built themselves up.
One star, our home. Our Solar System is a single-star system tucked inside the much, much bigger Milky Way Galaxy.
