A huge flock. There are around 1.2 billion sheep in the world, making them one of the most common farm animals anywhere.

Tummy of wonders. Sheep are ruminants, which means they chew up grass, swallow it, then bring it back up to chew again to digest it properly.

Walking on tiptoes. Sheep are even-toed ungulates, so they walk on hooves with an even number of toes, like cows and goats.

Lots of names. A female sheep is a ewe, a male is a ram, and a baby sheep is called a lamb.
