Built-in trumpet. Its long, curved head crest was hollow inside, and scientists think it may have made loud, trumpet-like sounds to call to other dinosaurs.
Duck-billed dino. Parasaurolophus was a hadrosaur, a group nicknamed 'duck-billed' dinosaurs because of their wide, flat snouts.
Big plant-eater. It could grow over 9 meters (30 feet) long and weigh more than 5 tons, munching only on plants.
Two legs or four. It could walk on all four legs or stand up and move on just its two back legs.
Long ago. It lived about 76 to 73 million years ago in what is now western North America, including Alberta, New Mexico, and Utah.
