Cool facts
Space clouds. A nebula is a huge cloud of gas and cosmic dust drifting in the space between stars. Some of them glow with beautiful colors.
Star nurseries. Many nebulae are places where new stars are born! Gas and dust clump together until they get dense enough to form a star.
Pillars of Creation. One famous part of the Eagle Nebula is called the Pillars of Creation, where towering columns of gas are busy making stars.
Leftover planets. After a star forms, the leftover gas and dust can clump into planets and other objects, building a whole planetary system.
Made of hydrogen. Nebulae are mostly made of hydrogen, the simplest and most common gas in the universe.
