Velociraptor

Turkey sized. Despite its scary reputation, Velociraptor was a small dromaeosaurid dinosaur, roughly the size of a turkey.

Lived in Asia. It roamed Asia during the Late Cretaceous, about 75 to 71 million years ago.

Found in Mongolia. The first fossils of the type species, V. mongoliensis, came from the Djadochta Formation in Mongolia and were described in 1924.

Two species. Scientists currently recognize two species, including V. osmolskae, named in 2008 from skull bones found in China.
