Wider than a room. The biggest manta ray can stretch about 7 meters (23 feet) from wingtip to wingtip. That's wider than most living rooms!
Brainy fish. Manta rays have one of the highest brain-to-body ratios of all fish, making them some of the smartest swimmers in the sea.
Mirror genius. They can pass the mirror test, which means they might recognize themselves in a reflection, something very few animals can do.
Big mouth, horn fins. Mantas have large forward-facing mouths and horn-shaped fins near their heads that help funnel food into their mouths.
Wings of the sea. Their triangular pectoral fins flap like wings, letting them glide gracefully through the water.
