Started by brothers. Two brothers named Sam Walton and James Walton founded Walmart in 1962 in a small town called Rogers, Arkansas. What began as one discount store grew into a global shopping giant.

Headquarters location. Walmart's main office is in Bentonville, Arkansas, which is close to where the company was born. The city became famous because of this huge company.

Many store types. Walmart doesn't just run regular stores. It also operates Sam's Club warehouse stores, pharmacies, gas stations, and grocery sections, giving shoppers lots of different shopping choices.
