Audio on Demand. A podcast is a series of audio episodes that you can download to your device or listen to whenever you want, no need to tune in at a specific time like with regular radio.

Named After iPod. The word 'podcast' comes from 'iPod' and 'broadcast,' created back in 2004 when people used iPods to listen to shows.
