One person counts. The seeker closes their eyes and counts to a number everyone agrees on beforehand, like 20 or 100. This gives the other players time to run off and hide in the environment around them.
Everyone else hides. While the counter counts, all the other players race off to find clever hiding spots. The better your hiding spot, the longer it takes the seeker to find you!
The hunt begins. Once the seeker reaches their number, they shout "Ready or not, here I come!" and start searching. Now it's time to find everyone who's tucked away in their secret spots.
Played everywhere. Hide-and-seek works in yards, parks, forests, playgrounds, or even inside houses. Any environment with good hiding spots makes for an exciting game!
Old and beloved. Kids have been playing hide-and-seek for generations all around the world. It's one of those games that never gets old because every round is different.
