A pharaoh's tomb. The Great Pyramid was built as the final resting place for the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu, also known as Cheops.

Last wonder standing. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one that has survived largely intact.

Super old. Builders raised it around 2600 BC, which is roughly 4,600 years ago.

26-year project. It took about 26 years to construct, and it remains the largest of all the Egyptian pyramids.

Famous landmark. It stands in the Giza pyramid complex near Giza, Egypt, and is one of the most recognizable buildings on Earth.
