Speed champion. Cheetahs can sprint up to 104 km/h (65 mph), making them the fastest land animals alive.

Built for racing. They have powerful back-leg muscles, long limbs, and a bendy spine that helps them stretch into super-long strides.

Spotted coat. Their tawny to creamy fur is covered in evenly spaced solid black spots.

Tear marks. Two black 'tear-like' streaks run down their faces from the inner eyes to the mouth.

One of a kind. The cheetah is the only living member of its genus, Acinonyx.
