Country and continent. Australia is the sixth-largest country in the world, and it's the only one that takes up an entire continent all by itself.
Flat and dry. It's the flattest and driest inhabited continent on Earth, with huge deserts spread across its middle, known as the Outback.
Wild variety. Even though much of it is dry, Australia also has tropical rainforests along its coasts and many different landscapes and climates.
Megadiverse home. Australia is a 'megadiverse' country, packed with unique creatures like kangaroos and koalas that live nowhere else in the wild.
Islands too. Besides the mainland, Australia includes the island of Tasmania and many smaller islands.
