Cool facts
Circus favorite. Unicycles are super popular in circuses and street performances because riders look like they're doing something almost impossible. The trick is all about balance, practice, and really strong leg muscles.
Pedals connect directly. Unlike a regular bike where the pedals turn a chain, a unicycle's pedals attach straight to the wheel. This means you go forward exactly as far as each pedal rotation takes you.
Extreme sports twist. People have invented unicycle basketball and unicycle hockey, where players ride unicycles while playing the actual game. It's way harder than it sounds.
Mountain unicycling. Just like mountain bikers go off-road, some unicyclists tackle rough terrain and obstacles in an activity called mountain unicycling. It takes incredible skill and balance.
Speed option available. Most unicycles have a basic setup, but you can buy a two-speed hub that lets you change gears for faster riding, just like on a regular bike.
