Master archer and swordsman. Robin Hood was famous for being incredibly skilled with a bow and arrow, as well as a sword. These talents made him a legendary figure in English folklore.

Dressed in Lincoln green. Robin Hood is traditionally shown wearing bright green clothes from Lincoln, a color that became so famous it's now often called 'Robin Hood green.' It made him instantly recognizable in stories and pictures.

Robbed the rich to help poor. His most famous quality was taking money from wealthy and powerful people, then giving it to common folk who were struggling. This made him a hero to ordinary people in the stories.

A legend, not history. Robin Hood probably never actually existed, but started as a character in English folklore and legends. Over centuries, writers, actors, and filmmakers have told different versions of his story.

Noble or common origins. Different versions of the legend disagree about who he really was. Some say he was born into nobility, while older versions describe him as a yeoman, which was an ordinary working person.
