Pluck the strings. A harp has many strings stretched across its frame, and you make music by plucking them with your fingers.
Triangle shape. Most harps are made of wood and have a triangular shape, with the strings running at an angle to the soundboard.
Sit or stand. You can play a harp either sitting down or standing up, depending on its size.
Foot pedals. Some big harps have pedals you press with your feet to change the notes, plus multiple rows of strings.
