Fabulous fjords. Norway is famous for its fjords, deep, narrow sea inlets carved by ancient glaciers between towering cliffs and mountains.
Midnight sun. In far northern Norway, the sun doesn't set for weeks in summer, and in winter it can stay dark for a long time.
Capital city. Oslo is Norway's capital and largest city, and the country has about 5.6 million people.
Arctic islands. Norway includes the icy archipelago of Svalbard, far up in the Arctic where polar bears roam.
Long coastline. Norway has a huge, winding coastline touching the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea, and the Barents Sea.
