Capital city. Nairobi is Kenya's capital and largest city. The oldest city is Mombasa, a busy port on an island by the Indian Ocean.

Lots of people. More than 53 million people live in Kenya, making it the seventh-most populous country in all of Africa.

Many neighbors. Kenya borders South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, and even Lake Victoria, plus it touches the Indian Ocean.

Snow and deserts. Kenya has wild variety: cold, snow-capped mountaintops with forests in some areas, and dry deserts in others.
