Mount Olympus rules. At 9,573 feet tall, Mount Olympus is Greece's highest peak and was believed by ancient Greeks to be the home of their gods Zeus, Athena, and Apollo.
Many mountain ranges. Greece has several major mountain systems including the Pindus range in the north and the Peloponnese mountains in the south that run through the country.
Rugged and rocky. Greek mountains are mostly rocky and steep, making them perfect habitats for eagles, wildcats, and rare plants that have lived there for thousands of years.
