Cool facts
Fresh from the farm. At a farmers' market, the fruits and vegetables were picked recently and come straight from the farmer's fields, so they taste extra delicious and are super healthy.
Indoor or outdoor. Some farmers' markets set up outside in sunshine, while others happen indoors, and they can be tiny with just a few stalls or gigantic, stretching for several city blocks.
Found everywhere. Farmers' markets exist all over the world and show what foods and culture are special to each place, so a farmers' market in Japan looks different from one in Mexico.
More than just produce. Besides fresh fruits and veggies, farmers might sell live animals, plants, honey, cheese, and sometimes yummy prepared foods like baked goods or drinks.
Fewer rules. Farmers' markets don't have as many strict rules as big grocery stores, which makes it easier for local farmers to sell their products directly to you.
