Country and continent. Australia is both a country and a continent, made up of a huge mainland, the island of Tasmania, and many smaller islands. It's the sixth-largest country in the world.

Flat and dry. It's the flattest and driest inhabited continent on Earth, with vast deserts spreading across its interior.

Many landscapes. Even though much of it is desert, Australia also has tropical rainforests along its coasts and a wide range of climates.

Megadiverse. Australia is a 'megadiverse' country, meaning it's packed with an amazing variety of plants and animals, many living only there.
