Cool facts
Six skills combined. Agility isn't just one thing, it's a mix of balance, coordination, speed, reflexes, strength, and endurance all working together. When you're agile, all these abilities team up to help you move like a ninja.
Balance keeps you steady. Balance has two jobs: static balance helps you stay upright when you're standing still, and dynamic balance lets you keep your center of gravity steady even when you're moving fast or changing direction.
Strength and speed matter. You need your muscles to be strong enough to push against resistance, and you need the ability to move parts of your body really quickly. Together, these let you sprint, jump, and twist with power.
Your senses guide you. Your eyes, inner ear, and body awareness tell your brain where you are in space so you can coordinate your movements smoothly. Without your senses sending signals to your muscles, you couldn't be agile at all.
Agility is learnable. You aren't born with agility, you can train it by practicing sports, dancing, or activities that challenge your balance and coordination. The more you practice, the better your body and brain work together to keep you nimble.
