First real flight. On December 17, 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright flew the world's first controlled, engine-powered airplane near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
A team of two. Orville and Wilbur worked together as brothers to design, build, and test their flying machines.
Better and better. In 1904 they built the Wright Flyer II, which flew longer and even made the first complete circle in the air.
A practical plane. By 1905 their Wright Flyer III became the first truly practical airplane that could really stay up and steer.
