Amazing journey west. Sacagawea traveled thousands of miles with the Lewis and Clark Expedition from North Dakota all the way to the Pacific Ocean, helping the explorers find their way through unknown lands.

Bridge between worlds. She helped Lewis and Clark make peaceful contact with Native American peoples they met along the way, using her knowledge and languages to bring both sides together.

Nature's guide. Sacagawea shared her knowledge of plants, animals, and the land with the expedition, teaching the explorers about the natural world in different regions they'd never seen before.

Young and fearless. She did all of this incredible work while still in her teens, showing amazing courage and strength during the long, difficult expedition.
