Four Gold Medals. At the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Jesse Owens won gold in four events: the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, long jump, and 4×100-meter relay. He set Olympic records in every single one of these competitions.

Lightning-Fast Runner. Owens was famous for his incredible speed in short-distance races. His 100-meter and 200-meter wins showed he was one of the fastest runners in the world.
