Plugged into displays. Home consoles need to connect to a television or monitor to show the game on a big screen where everyone can see it.

Hybrid mix of both. Some newer consoles like the Nintendo Switch are hybrids that work both as handheld devices and connect to a TV, giving you the best of both worlds.

Controller in your hands. A game controller is the tool you hold to play, letting you move characters, jump, shoot, and control everything happening in the game.
