Built super fast. The theatre was constructed in just six months in 1881 using painted stone and brick. That's incredibly quick for such a grand building!
Beautiful horseshoe balconies. The theatre has three tiers of balconies shaped like a horseshoe that audiences sit in. The original ones from 1881 are still there today.
West End landmark. Located on Panton Street in Westminster, it's part of London's famous theatre district where the best shows happen.
Renamed in 2011. The theatre was called the Comedy Theatre for over 130 years before being renamed the Harold Pinter Theatre to honour the famous playwright.
Major makeover in 1955. In the mid-1950s, the theatre was completely rebuilt inside, but they kept the wonderful auditorium and balconies from the original design.
