Wind to power. A wind turbine catches the moving energy of the wind with its big blades and turns it into electricity we can use.
Huge worldwide. By 2024, hundreds of thousands of large turbines were making over 1,136 gigawatts of power, with about 117 more added every year.
Wind farms. Many turbines are grouped together in places called wind farms, working as a team to make lots of power.
Super clean. A study found wind energy had some of the lowest pollution and used the least water compared to coal, gas, and other sources.
