Made from egg whites. Macarons start with egg whites that are whipped until they're light and fluffy, kind of like making meringue. This airy mixture is what gives macarons their special texture.
Colorful creations. Food coloring is mixed into the batter to make macarons in almost any color you can imagine, pink, blue, purple, even gold! Each color can be paired with different flavors.
