🌿 A calm corner of the internet

FactFlipz is an ad-free discovery app for curious kids. Here is exactly what it is, how its pages are made, and what happens with your family's data (spoiler: almost nothing, on purpose).

What FactFlipz is

A pocket explorer for curious kids. Your child taps and swipes through a hand-picked catalog of hundreds of topics across eleven worlds: animals, space and dinosaurs, how things work, earth and cultures, history, food, sports, and more.

Every page is short, friendly fact cards. There is no feed of strangers, no comments, no chat, and no ads. It is a place to wonder, not a place to scroll.

How the pages are made (and kept safe)

Every fact page starts from that topic's real encyclopedia article, so the facts are grounded in a real source, never invented from thin air. Our system rewrites that text in kid-friendly language, and safety checks run both before a topic is allowed and after its page is written. If a search wanders somewhere that is not for kids, they get a gentle "let's explore something else" instead.

Exploration is on rails: the "go deeper" buttons lead to closely related topics we generate the same way, rather than out onto the open internet. The little video clips are curated and reviewed before they ever play.

Privacy, in plain words

There are no accounts and no sign-in. The app never asks for your child's name, photo, location, or anything else about them. The collection, streaks, and Wonder Points all live in the browser on your device, and gauntlet player names never leave it either.

Nothing your child does is sold, shared, or used to advertise to them. There is nothing to advertise: the app has no ads at all.

The games, explained

The playful layer (treasure chests, card packs, daily missions, boss battles, hatching eggs) is designed around one rule: progress is only ever won, never lost. Nothing decays, no streak is ever taken away, and there are no timers pressuring anyone to come back.

Rewards celebrate curiosity itself: reading facts, exploring new worlds, and hosting the Family Gauntlet quiz night for the grown-ups. That last one is our favourite. Prepare to sweat.
